Subject Introduction: The Commerce learning area is a skills-focused area which is central to the economic development of a knowledge-based society. Learners acquire and apply commercial knowledge in practical situations and develop the particular communication skills and the work attitudes and practices which are essential in effective business life. On completion of the Junior Secondary phase, learners are expected to be able to interpret and complete simple business documents, know and apply the accounting concepts, principles and procedures when recording data of a sole trader manually.
